ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Hesaraghatta, Bengaluru, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the National Seeds Corporation (NSC) on 2nd July 2024. This strategic partnership aims to facilitate the large-scale multiplication and distribution of high-quality, disease-resistant varieties and hybrids of horticultural crops developed by ICAR-IIHR scientists.
The MoA was officially exchanged between Dr. Tusar Kanti Behera, Director, ICAR-IIHR, and Mr. M Ahamed Raza, Regional Manager, NSC, in the presence of esteemed scientists from IIHR and officials from NSC. The collaboration focuses on ensuring that farmers across the country have access to superior seeds, thereby contributing to improved crop yields and sustainable agricultural practices.
By leveraging the expertise of ICAR-IIHR in developing quality horticultural seeds and NSC’s extensive distribution network, this partnership aims to make a substantial impact on the lives of farmers and the horticultural landscape of the country.
